6th Annual National Indian Taco Championship
May 15, 2010, Pawhuska, OK … It’s time once again for the 6th Annual National Indian Taco Championship, May 15th, 2010, 10 AM – 4 PM in Downtown Pawhuska, OK on HWY 60 (45 miles going east from Ponca City and 28 miles west from Bartlesville.) If you love fry bread and Indian Tacos then you will love this fun food festival!
The National Indian Taco Championship is gaining favor each year with crowds looking for a new kind of entertainment. Bands, Indian Dancing, shopping and a kids section of activity awaits.
NEW ATTRACTION! Pawhuska’s newest attraction is the Skate Park, located east of downtown at the Ben Johnson Cultural Park. For more information contact the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce at 918/287-1208 or go to pawhuskachamber.com.
This Community Partnership event promotes tourism in the local area and is sponsored by funding and local participation from these Major Sponsors: Osage Nation, Osage Nation Million Dollar Elm Casinos and the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce, Pawhuska Community Foundation and Osage County Commissioners.
The prize money for the 6th Annual National Indian Taco Championship is just as grand, $1,500 first place, $1,000 second place and $500 third place. Contestants can still register until May 7th. BE A JUDGE!! Visitors can pay $5 for the chance to help judge the Indian tacos. Judging will begin at 10 a.m., and winners will be announced between 3 and 4 p.m. The event will also include concessions, music and entertainment. Join us Saturday, May 15th in downtown Pawhuska.
