September 14 & 15, 2007, Pawhuska, OK  - Lights … Camera … Action!!! You won’t want to miss the Osage Nation’s newest event spectacular, The 1st Annual Osage Nation Film Festival, September   14 – 15, 2007, in historic downtown Pawhuska, OK.  Two fun filled days of classic movies of yesterday and today. The festival will begin on Friday, September 14th, at 6:00 p.m. in Pawhuska’s own Constantine Theatre and continue Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. The festival will feature the soon-to-be released documentary by Celia Xavier, “The Osage Indian Murders, Surviving the Reign of Terror”;  and, the classic showing of such film footage as the Hominy Indians Professional Football team & Jimmy Stewart’s, “The FBI Story”.  Workshops will also be offered to those who aspire to become professional directors and / or writers or those who are simply looking for a fun hobby. The workshops will be led by Oklahoma’s own, Steve Judd, a University of Oklahoma student who was recently selected as one of ten writers to take part in the Writer’s Track, an ABC / DISNEY Summer Television & Film Workshop. The weekend promises a Red Carpet Event, special guest appearances and much, much more, with a special announcement at the end of the festival. Cost: FREE with admission bracelet. Bracelets will be available at the following locations: The Osage Nation Gift Shop / Welcome Center, 222 W. Main and The Osage Tribal Museum located at 819 Grandview.
