Osage Tribal Museum director Kathryn Red Corn, presents Gilcrease Museum "Gillies" volunteer, Lana Chapman, the 2012 Pendleton blanket, selected as the Osage Tribal Museum's 3,500th visitor.

IS YOUR STATE/COUNTRY REPRESENTED HERE?

On Wednesday, December 12, 2012, Osage Tribal Museum director, Kathryn Red Corn, made a visit to the Gilcrease Museum, in Tulsa, and presented the 2012 Pendleton Blanket, representing our 3,500th visitor to "Gillies" volunteer, Lana Chapman.

The "Gillies" volunteers proudly visit the museum, each year.  It just so happened that when they signed in, back in late September,  one name was written in with the amount of "20 visitors", which were the "Gillies", and one of them was the 3,500th visitor; therefore, we had no idea of, specifically, who won.

A drawing was held for those in attendance, and a winner was chosen to receive the blanket.

We are very proud of everyone who visits here at the museum, and as you come in, please sign in, located in both the east and west wings, and this year, we're giving another Pendleton Blanket away to our 4,000th visitor for 2013!!

You'll be amazed at the collection of artifacts and photos that we have!  The admission is FREE!!

"The only charge we have here is to sign the register, and to have fun...not necessarily in that order!"
