Extreme Heat Causing Fire Danger
August 12, 2010
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

The current climate has caused an increased fire danger for the Osage Reservation. These conditions will persist for the next few days and will promote even more drying of vegetation.

On Wednesday August 10 at 1430 hours the BIA firefighters responded to a wildfire East of Nelagoney which consumed 55.7 acres. Please be advised of the fire conditions and be cautious when doing any trash burning, outdoor welding and cooking. Be Fire Safe.
