Summer Enrichment Camps

Do you have any plans for July? Would you like to learn and experience new things? If so, come to the Enrichment Day Camp the Osage Nation Education Department will be hosting in July. The Osage Nation Education Department is hosting its fourth annual Summer Enrichment Camp at Wa.zha.zhi Cultural Center in Pawhuska; for youth on Monday, July 20th to Thursday, July 23rd, 2009 and for children from Tuesday, July 28th to Friday, July 31st 2009. The camp times are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

There are many focuses for this year's camps. The camps will have Osage History and Culture components as well as hands on, age appropriate learning experiences at the camps. Each camp will end with an enrichment field trip. This year's field trip will be "Taking a Different Look at Osage Reservation" where the participants will take a cultural and historical tour of the Osage Nation.

The age group for the youth camp is 13 to 20 years with 40 spots open. The age group for the children's camp is 5 to 12 years with 50 spots open. Due to the limited number of participants these camps are for Osage children and youth, so register early and plan on having an awesome time.
