Green-For-A-Day

The Osage Nation Education Department would like to invite all of Osage County and surrounding areas to our 3rd Annual Earth Day Celebration on Saturday, April 25th. This year, just as always, is packed full of activities for young and old. The day will start with an easy 5K Run, along with a brisk 1 mile Fun-Run/Walk to follow. Various Osage Nation Departments will be there with earth friendly projects for kids and parents. We plan to educate the Osage Nation Communities on the effects of pollution, conservation and the benefits of recycling. Book Mobile, Dirt Pudding, Herb Planting, Gardening and Recycling Olympics are just a few of the activities planned for that day. Bring your gardening tools and plan to get dirty! A picnic lunch will be provided for all participants and we have great door prizes to give away. Registration starts at 8am and the run will begin at 9am, so bring your lawn chairs and make a day of it! Volunteers are always needed to help. If you would like to be involved please contact Maureen Wright or Mike Davis at the 1-800-390-6724 or (918) 287-5300. The Education Department is located four miles North of Hominy (along HWY 99), by the Osage Million Dollar Elm Casino in the Osage Industrial Park.
