ECONOMICDEVELOPMENT

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is again offering the E200 class in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, for businesses at least 51% owned by Native Americans that have been operating for at least 3 years and have at least $300,000 in sales.  The class is paid for by the SBA and is designed to help the owner with all aspects of growing the business: hiring additional staff, finances, marketing, etc.  It is a 13 week class (over 26 weeks) and is held during the day, so the owner would need to be available to attend the 3-hour class, perform outside homework and some project work with a team on off weeks.  The goal of the program is for each business to develop a 3-year strategic growth plan.  The intent being to grow revenues, grow jobs, and be a bigger contributor to their local economies.

There have been wonderful responses from prior attendees on how much it has helped their businesses.  Please help promote this class among your tribal members that have an existing business.  Attached is an application with contact information.  Please complete the form and return to the address on form as soon as possible.  Plans are to have the class filled by the end of February so everyone can be cleared and set up before class starts in Mid-April.

Attached is an announcement for a new on-line class for Native American companies available to tribal members.  For questions or referrals contact SBA at 405 609 8018 or Cindi.anderson@sba.gov

Thank you for your partnership in growing Native- owned businesses!!
